Natasha Cole and her husband Chris are like ships that pass in the night, literally.
That’s because both work for Zorba Foods, with Natasha working the twilight shift as a twilight manager in our Ebbw Vale factory and Chris working the day shift as a manager.
But they wouldn’t have it any other way as with weekends off and two young children, Laylah, aged 5, and Amelia, aged 3, it means they have the perfect work/life balance.
Natasha had originally planned to become a nurse, having undertaken a course in health and social care, but had a complete change of direction and joined Zorba in 2011.
She worked in a number of different roles before being promoted the position of manager in May. Working the twilight (5.30pm to 2am) shift, she is responsible for overseeing the production of our dips, including houmous, and generally responding to any issues which arise.
Natasha says: “I enjoy working at Zorba; it’s a great atmosphere to work in and you are encouraged and supported to progress within the company.
“It’s been nice to be part of the growth of the company and to work with some great people and customers.”
Natasha met Chris at Zorba and whilst they work opposite shifts, she says this works perfectly for them in relation to childcare.
She adds: “It means there is always someone there for Laylah and Amelia because I work Monday to Friday and Chris works four days on and four days off, so we are together at weekends and get to spend lots of family time together.”
